Bald & Bold

I didn't choose cancer. Cancer chose me. Yes, I survived my first round of chemo and I quickly saw how my body reacted. I saw the effects early on my hair. Chemo was wreaking havoc in my body by killing my cancer cells but also my healthy cells. It was already starting to fall out and I didn't want to wait to see the rest of it fall out on its own. I chose to have it shaved all off. I have so many thoughts about this day but I will share those in a later post. For now, here are the highlights of the momentous event.
